Job Posting: In-Home/Community Support Workers

Currently we are seeking individuals who can fulfil the roles of Support Level Services Including:

  • Hourly Respite Workers – One position full-time Monday to Friday – Day time
  • Support workers – Various hours, times and availability required – Casual/wage
Within these various roles successful candidates may have the availability to set their own schedules in collaboration with the individuals that they serve.  There is opportunity to branch out within the organization into other positions and programs as well.  The successful candidates will be matched with families and youth based on skill set and experience to support children living with disabilities in their homes and in their communities located on or around Blood Tribe Reserve.  Primary roles of the successful candidates will be to promote community integration, supporting family routines, behavior management, communication and social skills, Educational Support, as well as community access, leisure while assisting youth and families towards accomplishing their goals. 

The successful candidate(s) will report to a Program Supervisor to collaborate on the needs of the child and promote a plan to increase skill building and self-efficacy.  As an integral member of a multidisciplinary team you will add your family focused, and strength-based skills towards fostering the healthy development of children and families.

A competitive remuneration package is available which includes a hourly rate with flexible self-directed scheduling available.  Candidates may be eligible for benefits dependent on position and workload. Candidates should have a degree/diploma and experience in the Human Service Field. 

Candidates must have a valid Class 5 driver's licence (non-GDL) a reliable vehicle to use for work, with the ability to provide 2 million in Insurance liability and 3 years drivers insurance history (claims free). 

Preferred Candidates will have knowledge and experience working within Indigenous Cultures and ability to provide support to Blood Tribe Communities. Membership with Blood Tribe Band is considered an asset for this position.

Experience:
