Job Posting: Cultural Counsellor/Consultant

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide psychological interventions to individuals (youth and adults), couples, families and groups that represent a wide-range of issues. Knowledge and experience in using evidence-based and culturally relevant therapeutic approaches necessary.

Provide cultural guidance and consultation to a variety of Family Ties Programs.

Qualifications:

·         Registration with a Regulated Body (i.e. CAP, ACSW, ACTA)

·         Working knowledge and experience with Indigenous People

·         Experience with the use of evidence based therapeutic approaches suitable for areas that include but are not limited to trauma, grief and loss, high risk youth, domestic violence, mental health and addiction, child abuse and interpersonal conflict. 

·         Clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and families

·         Advanced clinical skills and knowledge of relevant best practice guideline.

·         Clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and families

·         Demonstrated ability to communicate and liaise with families and other professionals in fostering a team atmosphere

·         Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, families, and staff
